Requirements

To use the module, the following requirements must be met:

  • Installation: The module is installed together with TLSPilot on the management host under C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules\iTrain.TLSPilot. You do not have to install anything from the PowerShell Gallery.
  • PowerShell: Windows PowerShell 5.1 or PowerShell 7.
  • Elevation: Run PowerShell as administrator. All commands except Set-TLSPilotBaseUrl, Get-TLSPilotDnsAliasRecords and Test-TLSPilotDnsAliasRecords require this, including the read-only commands.
  • Services: The TLSPilot services must be running on the host you connect to, see chapter Setup.
  • Network: The Management API is only reachable on the management host, see chapter Ports and listeners.
  • Permissions: Your TLSPilot role decides what you are allowed to do. Get-TLSPilotMe shows the permissions you hold. Add -CertificateId to see the permissions that apply to a single certificate.
